IV drip in Patong

It usually starts the same way. You wake up in your Patong hotel feeling wiped out. Maybe it was a long night on Bangla Road. Maybe it was the heat, or a stomach bug that will not let you keep water down. Either way, half your holiday is gone and you feel awful. An IV drip in Patong is the quickest way we know to turn that around.

An IV drip puts fluids, salts and vitamins straight into your bloodstream through a small tube in your arm. Your stomach never has to digest anything. That is the whole point. When you are throwing up or badly dehydrated, drinking water does not work fast enough. Direct absorption does. Most people feel the difference before the bag is finished.

We are open 24 hours on Prachanukroh Road, a few minutes from Patong Beach. Walk in whenever you need us. No appointment.

IV drip for dehydration in Patong

Patong is hot and humid nearly all year. Add a full day in the sun, some alcohol and a long flight, and your body loses fluid faster than you replace it. Signs of dehydration are easy to miss at first: headache, dry mouth, dark urine, feeling dizzy when you stand up.

A rehydration drip restores that fluid in about 30 to 45 minutes. We add electrolytes and minerals, because plain water alone does not replace the salts you sweat out. If you have been vomiting, we can give anti-nausea medicine through the same line.

Hangover IV drip in Patong

This is the one people ask about most, and there is no need to feel awkward about it. A hangover is mostly dehydration, low blood sugar and inflammation all at once. A hangover drip treats all three: fluids for the dehydration, anti-nausea medicine so you can keep food down, and pain relief for the headache.

Most people who come in for this are back on their feet within an hour. If you have a flight, a dive or a tour booked, tell us and we will work to that time.

Vitamin and immune IV drips

Some people are not sick at all. They are just tired, jet-lagged or run down after weeks of travel. A vitamin drip gives you a mix of vitamin C, B vitamins and minerals in one go. Because it skips the gut, your body takes up far more of it than a tablet would.

We also do immune drips for people who feel a cold coming on, and energy drips for fatigue that will not lift. A nurse stays with you the whole time and checks how you are doing.

How long does an IV drip take?

Plan for about an hour from walking in to walking out. The doctor checks you first, because that matters: what looks like a hangover is sometimes food poisoning, heat stroke or dengue. Putting a drip in without asking why you are unwell is not good medicine.

Once the drip starts, you sit in a chair in a quiet, air-conditioned room. You can use your phone, message home, or sleep. The needle itself takes a second.

Is an IV drip safe?

Yes, when a licensed doctor checks you first and a trained nurse places the line. Everything we use is sterile and single-use. The risks are small: a little bruising where the needle went in, or a cool feeling in the arm as the fluid runs.

We will tell you honestly if a drip is not what you need. Some people just need rest, oral fluids and a bit of reassurance. We would rather say that than sell you something.

Common questions about IV drips in Patong

Yes. If you cannot get out of bed, we come to you. We cover Patong, Kalim, Kathu, Karon and the hotels along the beach road, day or night.
